What is a Moon sign, and why does everyone ask about it?
Your Moon sign is the zodiac sign the Moon was passing through at the moment you were born. Where the Sun sign describes your core direction, the Moon sign describes your emotional operating system — what you need to feel safe, how you process feelings, and what home means to you. Because the Moon changes sign every two to three days, it is far more personal than your Sun sign.
Do I need my exact birth time?
For your Sun sign, no. For your Moon sign, it helps — the Moon moves about 13 degrees a day, so a birth time keeps the result precise, though the sign is usually right even without it. For your Rising sign, yes: the ascendant changes sign roughly every two hours, so a reasonably accurate birth time is essential.
How are LunaSign's calculations different from magazine date tables?
We do not look your sign up in a fixed date-range table. We compute the actual positions of the Sun and Moon for your birth moment using the astronomy-engine ephemeris library — the same mathematics planetarium software uses. If you were born on a cusp, you get the astronomically correct answer.
Is astrology scientifically proven?
No — and we will not pretend otherwise. Astrology is a centuries-old tradition of interpretation, not a science, and LunaSign is an entertainment product. We take the mathematics seriously (your chart is calculated exactly) and the claims lightly (what the chart means is yours to judge).
